Mauricio is fourteen years old and has been with us for more than four years now. In that time we have watched this boy with his sweet smile and gentle spirit growing
in "wisdom and stature and in favor with God and with men". Truly the character of Jesus is increasingly evident in this young boy who takes his responsibility as the
"big brother" to Lenny and Francisco (9 and 10 years old respectively) very seriously. He often spends time reading his Bible to them in the evenings and helps to keep
them at task when it comes to things like chores, getting ready for school and such. He's a wonderful student and is rapidly approaching grade level after having
arrived here several years behind in his studies. Mauricio is an avid soccer player who dreams of playing professionally one day. He also enjoys skateboarding and
teasing his eight sisters -- and his mom!
