jungleFEVER

In 1999, the ministry of It's About Kids purchased 10 acres on the Napo River in Ecuador's highland Amazon jungle (about five hours drive from Montebello), believing by faith that God has called them to disciple the indigenous Quichua natives. Plans for the property include living quarters to house visiting work and discipleship groups, a school and a medical clinic. This future site for evangelism activities is appropriately called "Antioch."

The jungle ministry is an excellent training field for North American visiting teams to work where there has been little or no gospel exposure. Christian visitors from the United States and Canada have already financed and helped construct a small church in the river port village of Misahualli. In addition, several medical professionals have donated financial and medical assistance to families in dire need of medical care.

Children from the orphanage enjoy the privilege of visiting Misahualli and the surrounding villages from time to time as well. They serve as wonderful translators for visitors and they so enjoy loving on the jungle children while at play. Exposure to this work of God leaves an indelible mark on the heart of those who experience these precious people.
