Then...

Ines, sixteen, is a bright, spunky young lady who keeps everyone on their toes with her quick wit and snappy answers. When she arrived here four years ago, she carried
a pretty good sized chip on her narrow shoulders, finding it hard to accept either love or authority. When at 10 years old her parents abandoned their responsibility
to care for Ines and her younger brother and sisters, that job fell on her. When no one else would look after her interests -- their interests -- she did, learning to
fight for what she wanted -- and against what she didn't want! Well, Ines has learned to channel all that tenacity in a much more positive direction. She's a great
student, moving rapidly through her studies to achieve almost grade level. She is learning English, and best of all, growing in her relationship with Jesus Christ. A
"diamond in the rough" when she got here, Ines is shining more and more every day.
